Andrew David Kastner

           Andrew has been involved in the entertainment industry for over three decades as a  Musician, Performer, Songwriter, Musical Director, Music Supervisor, Record Producer, Engineer and Manager, as well as a Video Producer, Editor, Director, Web and Graphic designer, . His accomplishments have spanned the music, television and film industries, having worked with some of the biggest names in these fields.

            Andrew grew up in Boston, where in 1969 he attended Berklee College of Music.In 1974 he felt the pull of California and the Los Angeles music scene where he journeyed, landing a gig in 1975 as a guitarist in Barry White’s Love UnlimitedOrchestra on his world tour.  He later reunited with the lead singer from his College band days, Natalie Cole, as guitarist on her two-year world tour. In 1978 Andrew’s talents as a composer lead music publishing giant Warner Chappel Music to sign him to an exclusive publishing contract, writing for projects in both network television and major motion pictures, as well as artists such as Barry White, Chaka Kahn, Nicolette Larson and Aaron Neville. In 1980 he founded the LA based popular band, Jack Mack & The Heart Attack whose first record was produced by Glenn Frey from the Eagles for Warner Bros records. He performed, and wrote songs for many TV shows and major motion pictures such as Police Academy, Heat of The Night, Tuff Turf, Beverly Hills Cop 2 and more. In 1988 Jack Mack became the house band for the Fox TV Late Show backing up the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Michael Bolton, The Young Rascals, and even James Brown.  As a big fan of Jack Mack, Olympic skating Gold Medalist, Scott Hamilton, recruited Andrew and the band to write music for his sIce Capades show as well as be his musical director for Scott Cares, his NBC TV Special . 

                   In 2003 Kastner formed BAK Productions with industry veterans William Bergman and Kevin Cloud and signed the Michael Grimm who in 2010 became the winner of the NBC TV hit show Americas Got Talent,   Andrew and Bill formed Free Roll Records and released two CD's they produced on Michael.

                     In 2007 he teamed up with accomplished record producer Todd Smallwood to create American Road Records and Independent Record label to produce artists and record projects. Together they produced and recorded two compilations CD’s for the largest Biker event  in California, “The Love Ride”. The CD’s feature members ofThe Allman Bros, The Police, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac and many other well-known artists.

                     Since 2008 Andrew Started Free Roll Entertainment with Bill Bergman, Signing and producing recording artists. Andrew has also been collaborating with Bergman on songs for Megatrax, Lil Grilla and the Music Box Music libraries as well as writing songs for a Broadway musical and for other Artists.

                          As a video producer, director and editor, Andrew has been very busy shooting Music, corporate and personal documentaries. He just spent a month in Japan working on videos and just wrapped a personal documentary for CEO of CBS Television, Les Moonves. Andrew along with his partner Vaughn are currently working on projects for Middle Sun Media inscluding their new YouTube TV Network, Rocktalktv. 

                     Andrew has also become an accomplished, video producer/editor and graphic and web designer.   He also performed and/or recorded with; Michael Bolton, Amy Grant, Jeffrey Osborne, PeterWolf, Chaka Kahn, Nicolette Larson, James Brown, Bobby Womack, Benny King, The Young Rascals, Steven Stills, Joe Walsh, Robin Ford, Lee Greenwood, Mickey Gilley, Ginger Baker, Mery Clayton, Shaunice Wilson, The Drifters, Billy Preston, Mavis Staples, Atlantic Star, Cameo, Sam Moore, Brenda Holloway, Freda Payne, Jay & TheTechnics, Mick Fleetwood, Jimmy Buffet, Paddy Maloney, Barry White, Natalie Cole and many more.
